Capcom announced today that they would be releasing a special, limited edition of Resident Evil 6 in Japan. What makes this limited edition unique, however, is that it will cost you a whopping $1,300 - 100,000 Yen in the country of Japan.
It is sufficed to say that this is something I will not be investing in. Then again, I never liked Resident Evil to begin with, so I am not really at a loss here. Though, you may want to chunk the change! Here is what will be included in the package:
- The game itself.
- Four cases for your phone - presumably cases you cannot find anywhere else.
- The coolest part - a real, wearable replica of Leon's ingame jacket.
There will be only 5,000 of these units available, so you Resident Evil die-hards better be on the ball with preorders and such. There is no word yet on whether or not there will be North American or European incarnations of this offer.
Resident Evil 6 will hit store shelves worldwide on October 2, 2012; Japan gets it October 4th of the same year.
