The trailer, which clocks in at under a minute, is focused purely on Bella's transformation into a sparkly vampire. That transformation started in the last film, when Bella's vampire husband Edward was left with no choice and had to perform a caesarian section with his mouth. Now, the formerly human Bella is a creature of the night and the overcast day. As Robert Pattinson's Edward says, "We're the same temperature now."
The finale of the signature franchise for Summit Entertainment sees the addition of a new major character: Edward and Bella's daughter Renesmee, played by Mackenzie Foy. She's not present in the trailer, though. Nor are Michael Sheen or Dakota Fanning as members of the villainous Volturi, the vampire organization that has some beef with the Cullen family in this last Twilight movie.
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are the big attractions here, along with Taylor Lautner as the figurehead of official real-world religious organization Team Jacob. The supporting cast includes Billy Burke, Peter Facinelli, Ashley Greene, Kellan Lutz, Lee Pace, Maggie Grace, Jackson Rathbone, and Elizabeth Reaser.
Since both halves of Breaking Dawn were made as one big concurrent production, Bill Condon is the first and only director to adapt two of Stephenie Meyer's bestselling novels. Melissa Rosenberg was behind each and every screenplay since 2008's Twilight, though, so there has been some consistency on the scripting side.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 hits theaters on November 16th.
