It looks like a release date has finally been announced for the upcoming shooter Iron Front: Liberation 1944. The game will release on May 25th in the U.S. and all over Europe exclusively for the PC. While this is a game I normally wouldn’t be taking a second glance at, the game is being published by Deep Silver. They’ve had a pretty good track record recently, with Dead Island faring well in the review space and Risen 2 looking strong – which is set for a May release as well.
While this doesn’t say anything for the development studio, X1 Software, this may perhaps be their breakthrough title. Shooters are obviously very popular in this day and age, and the game does sport all the popular game types such as Capture the Flag and other classics. However, the game developers over at X1 aren’t just content to let that be enough: they’ve added a mission editor, where you can create and share your missions online with friends.
We’ll see how things pan out for the game as release grows closer!
