Spanish and Portuguese online retailer FNAC has listed Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, sparking further speculation that the franchise will be heading back to the Cold War era with a follow up to Treyarch's 2010 hit.
The listing, which has now been pulled, offered customers the chance to be updated as soon as the game was available for pre-order. Nothing about the copy indicated any insider info, save the purported November launch, hinted at any insider information. Even the date might easily have been an educated guess, since there's been a new Call of Duty game every November for the last seven years.
Still, this isn't the first time Black Ops 2 has popped up on a retail site. Earlier this month, Amazon France briefly made the title available for pre-order before the listing was taken down. A minor dustup followed, when several French news sites reported the story and were then asked by Activision to pull their coverage.
Activision has declined to comment on the story, but there's a sizeable mountain of evidence that Black Ops 2 is gearing up for a public reveal.
