Blizzard has released a new animated short of Diablo III in collaboration with Peter Chung and animation studio Titmouse, which tells the story of the Eternal Conflict between angels and demons, and how the archangel Imperius slew Diablo in his fury, against the advice of Tyrael and the rest of the angels.
The animation captures a fundamental moment in the history of Diablo's universe, and sets the stage for the events to come. Fans 'unlocked' the video by participating in Diablo III's "Darkness Fall, Heroes Rise" website .
A number of fans on the game's official forums are sharing their sense of upset over the video's lack of CGI and how "anime sucks," but I'll urge you not to listen to them and watch the film anyway. It's awesome.
