Tom Hardy signs on for 1960s motorcycle gang movie

Having recently signed a first look deal with Warner Bros, Tom Hardy will both produce and star in an as yet untitled motorbike gang film.
Set in San Francisco in the late '60s, according to Variety, Tom Hardy is to play a returning Vietnam veteran who goes on to form a gang. The biker movie marks a continued commitment to diversity in the British actor’s career.
Having recently starred in gritty mixed martial arts film Warrior and spy drama Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, 2011 was a good year for the character-led chameleon.
Hardy’s 2012 pinnacle could very well be playing the villainous Bane in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises, which hits cinemas on 20 July 2012.
The biker movie has no release date yet, although Mark L Smith (Vacancy) has been enlisted for script duties. We just hope Hardy actually finds time to star in this, in between Mad Max and Al Capone duties, as it sounds like it could be something special...
